April 2014 Dewey 24-hour Readathon

Yes, I am that crazy.

I tried this in October, and did more hours than I thought I would be able to.  I did attempt to stay up the entire 24 hours reading, and found out that this is NOT a good idea for me.  I was as sick as I've ever been for the following 3 days.

So, I'm going to do things a little differently this time around.  I am going to catch up/get ahead on some of the books I have signed up to review for various book tour companies in the next several weeks.

A review of 10% Happier will be on my blog on Wednesday, April 30, 2014.  I received a print copy of this book from the author at Litfuse Publicity in exchange for my honest, non-biased review.

~~~oOo~~~
A review of Lethal Lily by Joyce and Jim Lavene will be on my blog on Monday, May 5, 2014.  I received an e-copy of this book from the authors via Great Escapes Book Tours in exchange for my honest, non-biased review.
~~~oOo~~~

A review of Let Loose by Rae Davies will be on my blog on Tuesday, May 6, 2014.  I received a e-copy of this book from the author via Great Escapes Book tours in exchange for my honest, non-biased review.

~~~oOo~~~
Really, if I get through those three books in the 24 hours allotted, I will be surprised.  If by some chance I morph into SRW (Super Reader Woman) and need another book, the next on my list is "Two Performance Artists Kidnap Their Boss and Do Things With Him" by Scotch Wichmann via NetGalley and Freakshow Books.
  1. 24 hour readathon.... what's this. Sounds intriguing and interesting, considering that so many of you have signed up for it! I checked out their site, but the video was taking ages to function, so dropped it. Is reading non-stop for 24 hours feasible??
    1. Apparently so for the hardy amongst us, Shilpa. I tried it in October and had to be in bed for three days afterwards. I don't know if it's age, or what, but my body just can't do that.for other than life-or-death circumstances.
  2. I did a readathon of catching up on review books too. It's a great time to just sit down and concentrate ... you know, except for the blogging and visiting other blogs and tweeting and instagramming. ;) Have a super awesome day! #teamrogue
    1. Awww, thanks for the cheer, Kristen! I may try that next year as opposed to participating as a reader.... This was my second Dewey, and I did even less than the first time.
    1. So far, so good, Rebecca! From the title, I took it to be a feel-good book with a kind of hearts and flowers crafty kind of flair. That is not it at all, but it is very good!
  4. That's a good way to go about it. Hope you're having a good day, and definitely a good idea not to stay up the whole 24 hours :)
    1. Thanks, Charlie. Unfortunately, I didn't morph into Super Reader Woman, but there's always next time!
    1. Well, Yvonne, 2nd try for me - *eh* 2nd strike. I think I had a 24-hour complex or something. But I'll still give it one more shot in October!
