It’s up to Lacy to clear her dad’s name from the suspect list before Detective Jack Oliver has to cage him for good. But just when she starts pawing at the truth, she receives a threatening letter from a mysterious blackmailer bent on silencing her with her own secrets. And Lacy’s not the only one with bones in her closet.

MY REVIEW
What an exciting follow-up to Cat Got Your Cash, from April!
Only this time, the suspect behind the eight-ball is Lacy's father! And she does exactly what I would do, redouble efforts to find the real killer because the main suspect is a loved one. It must be something in human nature that makes us work harder to help a friend or relative than our own selves.
And it can't help that Lacy's police detective boyfriend Jack is involved in the investigation. No matter his involvement with Lacy, or his respect for her father, Detective Jack Oliver must follow procedure. That must be like when lawyers try to ascertain a potential juror's possible relationships to any of the involved parties.
Sometimes I find it hard to fathom that people would make and/or buy designer clothing for their pets. (I don't even buy it for myself!) But then, most people don't get my obsession with Scotland, so who am I to judge? *lol* And I've got to give Lacy props for running a growing business and not sitting back and living off her family's money.
Now, it can get pretty crazy down in the Big Easy. I was there one year the week after Mardi Gras and it was still pretty wild. (I guess some folks forgot (?) about the whole Lent business!) So, if you've never been through there, and want a great way to dip your toe into what's best about N'Awlins (New Orleans for those north of Mason-Dixon), you need look no farther than Chase's "Kitty Couture Mysteries"!
